Biomarker of autosomal dominant hypocalcemia; kidney failure (multiple); osteoporosis; and secondary hyperparathyroidism. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in several diseases, including chronic kidney disease; diabetes mellitus (multiple); familial isolated hypoparathyroidism; hyperphosphatemia; and secondary hyperparathyroidism.
