Title |
Plant-derived compounds strigolactone GR24 and pinosylvin modulate gene expression in rat L6 skeletal muscle cells |
Organism |
Rattus norvegicus |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by array
|
Summary |
We investigated the effects of novel SIRT1 activating plant-derived compounds strigolactone GR24 and pinosylvin on gene expression in rat L6 skeletal muscle myotubes. Resveratrol was included in analyses as a reference compound.

Overall design |
Myotubes were treated with 60 micromolar test compounds in DMSO or equivalent concentration of DMSO (control) for 24 h. Three independent experiments were performed from the same batch of cells.
