Definition

A rare benign lesion that arises in the fallopian tubes of postpartum women. It is characterized by intratubal luminal papillary proliferation lined by columnar cells with abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm. Significant cytologic atypia and mitoses are absent. Mucinous and oncocytic metaplasia may be present. [from NCI]
