Vulvar Prepubertal Fibroma

Definition

A rare, benign mesenchymal neoplasm that arises from the vulvar region, usually the labia majora of prepubertal girls. It presents as a slow-growing, unilateral painless mass. It is characterized by an infiltrative growth of bland spindle cells in a collagenous, edematous, or myxoid stroma. It may recur following incomplete excision. [from NCI]
