Definition

An aggressive diffuse large B-cell lymphoma occurring in patients with HHV8-positive multicentric Castleman disease. It is characterized by the presence of human herpesvirus 8-infected large B-lymphocytes that resemble plasmablasts. It is usually seen in patients with HIV infection. [from NCI]
