Design: pooled RNA samples
Submitted by: Nanchang University
Study: Nibea albiflora Genome sequencing and assembly
show Abstracthide Abstract
The yellow drum (Nibea albiflora) is one of the most economically important Sciaenid fish in China and East Asian countries. This ?sh exhibits signi?cant sexually dimorphic growth, whereby the aquaculture industry will take advantage of the mono-sex culture of yellow drum. Moreover, this species possesses unique propensity to produce deep drumming sounds using sonic muscles and swim bladder. Thus, a high-quality genome sequence will assist efforts to elucidate these particular traits and facilitate research on genomic breeding in this species
