SRX21711620: Illumina sequencing of Escallonia rubra
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina HiSeq 4000) run: 376.9M spots, 76.1G bases, 40Gb downloads

Design: Isolated DNA was prepared following the Nextera XT DNA Library Prep Kit guideline and sequenced on an Illumina HiSeq 4000 system to generate 100 bp paired-end WGS reads

Study: Escallonia Genomes
show Abstracthide Abstract
Escallonia (Escalloniaceae) belongs to the Escalloniales, a diverse clade of flowering plants with impressive morphological and ecological diversity and are widely distributed across three biodiversity hotspots in the Neotropics. To shed light on the genomic substrate of this radiation, the phylogenetic placement of the Escalloniales, and generate useful data for comparative evolutionary genomics across flowering plants, we have produced and annotated draft genomes for two unrelated Escallonia species.
