Annotation information
Note: LOC100910732 is annotated on Rnor_6.0 but not on Rn_Celera, while Pak2 (GeneID: 29432) is annotated on both assemblies (Annotation Release 105). Annotation of LOC100910732 likely represents a duplicate placement of Pak2 on Rnor_6.0. Additionally, the annotation of gene neighbor LOC103689978 appears to be the result of duplicate placement of this gene. Other gene neighbors Pigzl1 and Ppp1r2 are each annotated with the same GeneIDs at two separate locations nearby. These duplicate annotations while present on Rnor_6.0 are not present in Rn_Celera, and are not supported by mouse or human sytnenic regions. BLASTing LOC100910732 XM_003751066.2 against the rat genome shows high sequence identity (100% identity) with NC_005110.4 on Rnor_6.0 where both LOC100910732 and Pak2 are annotated (Annotation Release 105, but high sequence identity (100%) to only a single location on Rn_ Celera corresponding to where Pak2 is annotated. BLASTing Pak2 NM_053306.3 against the rat genome shows best hits to NC_005110.4 (99% sequence identity) on Rnor_6.0 where both LOC100910732 and Pak2 are annotated (Annotation Release 105), but high sequence identity to only a single location on Rn_ Celera corresponding to where Pak2 is annotated. 2-sequene BLAST of Pak2 NM_053306.3 against LOC100910732 XM_003751066.2 shows high sequence identity (99% coverage, 99% identity). BLASTing component AABR07034470.1 (that underlies Pak2, Senp5, Pigz and Pigzl1) against the rat genome shows high sequence identity to NC_005110.4 on Rnor_6.0 (Annotation Release 105) where the component is currently placed (hitting itself), as well as to regions where duplicate placements LOC100910732, LOC103689978 and others are placed. 2-sequence BLAST of component AABR07034444.1 that underlies part of LOC100910732 against AABR07034470.1 (that underlies Pak2) shows 99% sequence identity across a ~23 kb stretch.
