Definition

A rare nonkeratinizing squamous cell carcinoma that arises from the lacrimal sac or nasolacrimal duct. It is characterized by the presence of large cells with vesicular nuclei and prominent nucleoli, a syncytial growth pattern, and a lymphoplasmacytic infiltrate. [from NCI]
